About

Originally I went to Chelsea Art School and Ravensbourne School of Art & Design for a Foundation and BA in Fine Art.

More recently the chance of a studio at in Ardleigh was irresistible and I was the first in when they opened in November 2015 and I began painting again in earnest.

I also arrange exhibitions for the National Trust at Flatford and have been delighted to meet and show many local artists. Working in Constable Country, I cannot help but look at John Constable’s work a great deal and try to understand his approach to nature.

My own work is about the landscapes I work and walk in. I try to paint the sense of place, a feeling if you like, rather than try and recreate a representational image of a particular view. My work is as much about the act of painting as it is about looking and drawing outside.
